Educational exhibit for the Hevelianum science centre in Gdansk. Suitable for high school graduatees and beginner college students. Wind tunnel is meant to examine the lift and drag forces acting on a plane wing model inside the chamber. Our part of the work was to design and manufacture the electrical strenght measurement system. The module consist of a Prandtl tube and a differential pressure sensor. Wing’s angle of attack is controlled remotely with a knob and a servomotor. RGB LEDs are used for the wing’s position indicator. A standard semi symmetrical airfoil was used for the wing’s model. Wing model change is possible, as well as using different bodies, e.g. an rotating cylinder to demonstrate the Magnus effect.
